Assistant Business Insight Manager        


Our Assistant Business Insight Manager plays a key role in our Insights function helping KP Snacks adapt and win with consumers and shoppers in an increasingly complex and fast paced environment.


This role includes Continuous Insight provision to the business as well as the opportunity to develop your Ad Hoc Research skills (particularly through our brand health tracker) and is responsible for uncovering and sharing insight to deliver actionable recommendations to the business.


Your data analysis and insight will support and grow our KP Category Vision, develop Brand Marketing Plans, as well as Innovation and Customer Category Plans through your understanding of the business, the Consumer and the Shopper.  You will work across all brands in the KP portfolio with the main focus areas being; McCoy’s, Hula Hoops, KP Nuts, Butterkist, Tyrrells, popchips & Pom Bear.  


This role reports into the Consumer and Shopper Insights Manager but links are critical to the whole Research & Insights team as well as to the wider business.


Key Responsibilities

·          Lead regular reporting with Continuous Insights Manager to update business performance, identify opportunities and risks


·          Be an insights tools super user (e.g. Nielsen, Kantar, IGD, Mintel)


·          Hold responsibility for upskilling the team in continuous data tools


·          Manage day to day brand health tracking and advertising tracking, ensuring key insights are embedded within the business


·          Develop skills in ad hoc research by supporting projects, including development and testing of communications, design, and innovation


·          Lead Consumer Closeness program for business to ensure deep understanding of consumers’ lifestyles, snacking habits and snacking needs


·          Support marketing teams through brand planning


·          Identify and share relevant trends to drive the business forward


·          Champion the Consumer and Shopper throughout the business



Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Graduate with experience in a commercial market research environment
  • Experience of continuous data is essential (nielsen, IRI, kantar, Dunnhumby etc)
  • FMCG client-side consumer and/or shopper insight is beneficial
  • Analytical mind, high attention to detail, numeracy, good communication skills, team worker with good interpersonal skills
  • Proven results in delivering insight to action
  • Willingness to learn
  • Stakeholder management with an ability to positively influence
