Dr.Lipp Ltd was founded in 2004 by Pontine Paus with just one SKU, the original multi-purpose nipple balm for dry skin, luscious lips & glossy bits, consisting of pure 100% medical grade lanolin. This cult product has always been positioned in the premium skincare category and was one of the first 100% natural skincare products to launch in this space. In 2018 the business developed the ‘Lip Expert Range’ targeting the masstige market.
Current distribution is mainly across the online channel as well as Space NK, International and travel retail. Additional new SKU’s are in the pipeline for 2019/20 to expand the range further. Dr. Lipp currently employs 6 people within the UK across Sales and Marketing functions and based in their Mayfair Head Office. The company is now looking for the right professional to lead and assist them with their ambitious targets both within the UK market and abroad.
The main objective of this position is to scale the business. He/She will be accountable for the overall growth of brand awareness, order volume, net revenue and net profit. They will achieve these results by opening new doors, managing and evolving our internal systems, collaborating and directing their existing sales and marketing team as well as developing the team and the company’s sales and marketing strategy as the company grows. This will ultimately develop into a General Management position.
- To develop the business alongside the Founder and Creative Director Pontine.
- Accountable for driving exceptional order volume, turnover and capital efficiency, ie final EBITDA
- Responsible for opening key accounts in UK, USA and rest of Europe directly with the retailers and occasionally with agents/distributors where permitted
- To work collaboratively with the sales and marketing team.
- Responsible for developing our internal systems that manage all aspects of the business as it grows
- Responsible for understanding our customers and the competitive landscape
It is important that the successful applicant has a strong network Internationally and has a proven record of winning and growing new business overseas, ideally within the US and Europe. As this is a growing business, it is also key to have the ability to implement basic internal processes across all functions and influence the day to day running of the company.
Experience working within an SME beauty/skincare company in a 360 sales role with a ‘roll your sleeves up’ mentality is preferred. A background managing and developing a small team is imperative. A passionate, personable and charismatic individual with great sense of humour will fit in well with this small hardworking team.
