Job Description – Business Development Field Manager

We’re looking for a highly talented, passionate and inspired New Business Manager to manage our team of City Managers. You will be delivering sales and volume targets and analysing new business opportunities to assess opportunity and strategy, maximising return. Focus on delivering growth & maximising existing listings in High Street & Grocery retailers outside of the big 4 grocers. 

Pay: £32,000 + up to 20% Bonus + Company Car 

What you will be doing?

  • Planning, delivering and exceeding sessional & annual business targets in defined new business estate.
  • Managing a team of City Managers to deliver and exceed their business targets.
  • Managing and influencing the customer relationship with business contacts to step change customer engagement and to deliver the best results for Ferrero UK.
  • Working with Ferrero National Accounts to gain all relevant information required to assess & manage new business opportunities.
  • Manage and influence the customer relationship with business contacts to step change customer engagement & to deliver the best results for Ferrero UK
  • Working with regional contacts & Area Managers to deliver initiatives that provide incremental growth for the retailer & Ferrero
  • Identifying regional opportunities & events to deliver incremental visibility & revenue
  • Planning and delivering value adding initiatives in store to ensure sustainable business growth for both parties.
  • Educating customers on market & category opportunities in line with the Ferrero UK trade marketing plans & strategy.
  • Presenting regular updates on performance & proposing improvements to role which will optimise future performance.
  • Monitoring market conditions, customer & competitor behaviour & proposing strategies to maximise return.
  • Management of cost control and expenses of channel, ensuring spending is within budget limit.
  • The completion of specified monthly administration accurately, efficiently and in the correct time scale.

What will you need?

  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • The ability to think strategically
  • Knowledge of Grocery, high-street, discounters and Convenience retail sector.
  • Experience of working within a team environment.
  • Minimum of 6 months FMCG sales experience.
  • Determination to achieve & willingness to continually learn
  • Proven record of demonstrating initiative & delivering results.
  • To be able to demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • IT literate
  • Able to analyse data (team performance, sales trends etc.)
  • Results driven with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Clean driving licence
  • Willing to stay away
