National Account Manager – Non-Food Consumer Goods
Our client is a market leading non-food consumer goods brand, currently dominating their prospective product category. Company turnover is in excess of £100 million, this is a household brand prominent with UK consumers. The business supplies major UK retailers across grocery, online, department stores and high street. They are profitable, ethical and environmentally friendly. The business has won a number of recent awards to demonstrate this success. Culturally they value employees and look to progress people from within. An opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to join the business managing some key national accounts.
As National Account Manager you will inherit some key customers for our client, these are likely to include Shop Direct & other online retailers. You may also be heavily involved in Argos, a big focus for the future growth of the business.
Our client is already trading and delivering a substantial level of business with these accounts. The candidate will need to have the ability to work cross-functionally, look at new marketing strategies to continue the growth of these customers. You will need to be a great communicator both internally with key stakeholders and directly with the retailers. The role will offer variety and the chance to open up new avenues for the business.
This person has the potential to fast track their career to the next level.
In order to be considered for this National Account Manager opportunity it would be highly favourable to have experience of managing Shop Direct, ideally to a high level. Candidates with exposure to Argos would also be of real interest for this position. Candidates with other online retail experience will also be considered. Product experience is less important, however a background in branded non-food consumer goods is preferable. For example - consumer electronics, housewares, toys or home furnishings. It’s a fast-paced environment so you must be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You must be bright, commercially savvy and keen to progress your career in a large, growing organisation.
