We have a fantastic opportunity for a New Business Executive to join our well-established, successful and growing Gifts and Souvenirs business. This is a key-role so we’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who can hit the ground running.
We are looking for a new business specialist for our growing textile brands- Aran Traditions and Heritage Traditions. You will thrive on opening and managing new accounts in what is, a completely untapped market for us in this geographic area. Ideally we are looking for someone who has been supplying into and has contacts in; Garden Centres, Independent Gift Shops, Museums and Stately Homes. Once you have opened new accounts, you will then be responsible for managing them and developing the relationships and the sales & merchandising opportunities this will bring.
This role requires a driven and dedicated individual with a keen eye for detail who can work with a high level of trust and autonomy. You will be organised and comfortable setting your own journey plans with an expectation of around 5 client calls per day.
The role is field based and will require extensive travel across the region therefore you will hold a full UK Drivers License. Occasional travel to our Head Office near Glasgow will also be required.
Arrange comprehensive sales calls and build excellent relationships that maximise sales
Develop and establish new business within the area and account manage to a high standard
Merchandise product to company guidelines and ensure stocks are maximised at all time
Feedback any issues, display potential, competitor activity and any other information to assist Head Office
Ensure that all administration is completed accurately and sent to the relevant people on time
Communicate best practice and lessons learned to Head Office
Installation of display systems and POS material
Log visits and feedback and be organised with thorough journey planning
Attend and represent the business at national/regional trade events and exhibitions on an adhoc basis
Hours: Full time hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but occasional weekend visits may be required.
• It is preferred that you have experience within a similar role. Product training/introduction period is given to the successful candidate
• Proven delivery of achieving commercial and sales targets
• Outstanding communication skills and a team player
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Solid forward/journey planning, organisational and time management skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Confident working individually whilst being managed remotely
• You must have a full UK driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time salary: £25,000 /year + Bonus, 21 days paid holiday per year plus statutory.
