Do you have a relationship with growers / fresh produce clients? Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to do more than just trade? Do you want to head up your own business division? If so, this could be the role for you.


About Our Client:

Our client are an established family owned business with a reputation for quality and service. They are very entrepreneurial and are willing to innovate and give new products and varieties a go. They have an established customer base and want to expand further, with some ambitious growth plans. As such they are on the lookout for people who can add value to the overall mix of customers / products offered etc.


About the Job:

This position is more than a job...if you're seriously looking for a career and an opportunity to build something and create a future of your own making then this could be a role for you. You will be more than a trader but will be comfortable buying and selling fresh produce. You will be able to be strategic and build partnerships with growers to align them to the business you will be building. You will be able to assess the viability of a product / variety in the market, identify growers to give you a year round supply, costings, customers, routes to markets...and then more importantly go and deliver the business plan. This is a fabulous opportunity to build a business, head it up, be backed by and established business and benefit from the work you put in.


The Ideal Candidate:

You will be a self starter, someone who will want to go out and build the business that you want to run. You will know fresh produce; the growers, the sources, the customers, market, the supply chain...the whole market or a very niche part of it that is your specialty. You will be hungry and driven to make this happen and want to do more.


Minimum Requirements:

Great 'can-do' attitude. Knowledge of the fresh produce industry. Be able to deliver at pace whilst also being able to think strategically and assess the viability of route to market.


Salary:

Our client is open / flexible on the salary level as long as you add value to the business and can deliver.
