Privately owned, part of the Owen Greenings and Mumford (OGM) Holdings Group of companies, Terinex is a leading converter of plastic films for food for cooking and preservation and of facial tissue. Established for 50 years, the company has huge potential for expansion in the UK and internationally. Terinex has created a new role of Head of Sales to lead the sales and marketing team based in Bedford. Reporting to the Board and part of the senior management team you will be wholly responsible for the strategy and execution of all sales and marketing activities, with the objective of helping the company achieve its ambitious plans to grow from its current turnover of circa £7m.
 
The role


You will set the sales and marketing strategy for success, and will bring significant experience as a Sales Leader, and the drive and determination needed for role. You will set budgets and deliver against them whilst leading annual negotiations with groups and key accounts. You will inherit a team with extensive experience, whilst you will have the opportunity to shape and grow it, putting in the fundamental structures and processes needed to make it best in class. This is a hands-on position and we are looking for someone that is prepared to lead by example as well as coaching and supporting the rest of the team. You will be an effective change agent who is able to drive necessary changes through the company whilst keeping the confidence, commitment and motivation of the sales team and their customers. 

As Head of Sales you will also have responsibility for all marketing activities and staff. You will need to oversee and guide their marketing and publicity programmes with the support of the group.

You will need to have a proven track record in selling into the food service sector through direct sales whilst understanding how to manage buying groups and be able to create a strategy to grow the network and manage these relationships effectively. You will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for the company at exhibitions and corporate events.
