Digital marketing and grocery eCommerce are altering our customer landscape and broadening the range of competitors in our industry. This new reality poses both risks and exciting opportunities for Arla Foods, our brands and dairy category growth.

As we raise our ambitions to 2020, Digital/E-Commerce must be at the heart of our strategy. Digital is a key enabler to help us transform how we structure and equip our workforce, engage with our consumers and customers, add benefits to our products and services, and improve our operational excellence going forward.

Your Challenge:

In 2019, we will increase momentum around eCommerce, E-tail and Digital marketing excellence. As eCommerce Customer Development Executive, you will be responsible for delivering Arla's eCommerce ambitions within ASDA, and will provide expertise on eCommerce. You will be working with the Senior eCommerce Manager and central Digital & eCommerce Business Unit to develop and deliver best-in-class activation plans for ASDA.

Your focus areas:

  • In partnership with the central eCommerce team, develop a clear eCommerce business strategy for ASDA and aligned category. Responsible for communication and onboarding internally and externally within the business planning process.
  • Act as key point of contact for your retailer eCommerce team, in the development of a joint plan for growth plus continued activation against the retailer-specific requirements and ambitions.
  • Responsible for effective eCommerce sales tracking vs targets. Working with the Data Science team to utilize EPOS sales and platform data to support ongoing analysis within your account, plus laddering up to overall eCommerce sales performance in Arla. Also working with the eCommerce Shopper Marketing manager to integrate Price and non-price TM analyses vs sales.
  • Responsible for eCommerce performance reporting and planning for your aligned category and strategic brands. eCommerce lead within the brand planning process - developing annual targets and quantifying key category ecommerce initiatives to deliver growth e.g. brand partnerships, NPD or packaging, ecommerce marketing initiatives or supply chain intervention. Reporting and representing within Category Focus Groups and supporting Focus Group Lead with the ecommerce agenda.
  • Where applicable, tracking and analysis of additional retailer eCommerce data into insight and recommendations e.g. google analytic platform and media effectiveness data
  • Ownership of the 'FIX, BUILD, IMPACT' eCommerce management plan to action eCommerce optimization across all categories and brand, and utilisation of Metrico compliance tool to track cause and effect.
  • Responsible for the implementation of key strategic eCommerce initiatives including rollout of Mobile Optimised Imagery and product content optimisation.
  • Support Customer Business Unit through the business planning process to showcase the role of eCommerce to deliver the high level customer agenda - preparation and support of retailer engagement sessions and ongoing t2t engagement.

What you'll need to succeed

Your track record reflects solid experience within UK sales and/or shopper marketing within an FMCG environment.

You have strong business acumen and exceptional drive, and you are willing to go the extra mile to deliver results. You are adept at developing strategic relationships with customers, translating into growth-driving JBPs.

Your strong analytical abilities enable you to interpret and commercialize category and shopper insights, and are able to demonstrate delivery of initiatives that have resulted in brand and/or category growth.

You must have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, with the skills to collaborate and lead within a matrix team. Among colleagues you are characterised as a great communicator, decision-maker with personal impact and a good deal of resilience, and excellent planning and organising skills.
