Head of Channel - Leisure

Responsibilities:

  • Hybrid role with a 50% focus on existing and 50% on new business.
  • Managing a portfolio of existing customers to retain and grow, with a key emphasis one development and opening up new sites or providing solutions which they do not currently have.
  • Creating a pipeline of new business opportunities, with a clear plan to meet, present and win.  
  • Develop and agree with the National Sales Director ‘On the Go’ a strategic ‘long list’ of prospects in Leisure.
  • Refine the ‘long list’ into a pipeline and ensure pipeline is always up to date with most accurate understanding captured in CRM
  • Self-generate a minimum of 2/4 new business meeting per a month.
  • Mobilise and manage any new business gains with the support of the project management team.
  • Undertake specialist sales and trade development activity and projects as agreed with the National Sales Director.
  • Gain and maintain a high level of product, sector and customer knowledge.
  • Attend trade shows, association meetings and networking events as deemed worthwhile.
  • Work with customers to understand strategy, performance, key contacts, contract status, incumbent insight and future potential. Equally, work with customers so that they understand the client to a high degree, encompassing our products, sector proposition, people, service, pricing, strategy, CSR agenda and future plan.
  • To master the content of customer tenders and be able to work at the heart of a cross functional team to bid to an industry beating standard of quality.
  • To be able to drive and participate in customer tender processes at any point, including presentations and Q&A meetings.
