Specification Writer

We are seeking a talented individual to join us for a 6 month period.  Here at TSC Foods we manufacture soups and sauces for various retailers.   You will join a really friendly, fun and supportive team.

As a Specification Writer you will report to the Senior Specification Writer, and be responsible for the completion of writing specifications including generating nutritional and allergen information, mainly requested from customers and TSC Commercial Managers, in conjunction with the rest of the specifications team.  

Some duties will involve getting involvement in label sign offs, attend project meetings, writing sample submission forms.   All of which is done to deadlines and require regularly communication to those involved.  

Other duties will include:-

• Collation, validation and accurate input of product data into relevant retailer specification systems
• Collation, Maintenance and review of the raw material specifications for the sit
  Review and approval of label artwork information
• Working closely with NPD team throughout the development process
• Responding to customer queries with regards to specification on products
• Maintenance of the retailer portals
• Keep up to date with current food safety regulations

You will be hitting the ground running so those wishing to apply must have ideally worked in a fast paced, chilled food manufacturing business and be familiar with food information regulations and retailer specifications.  Good knowledge of the BRC Global Food Standards is a must.

The successful candidate needs to be confident to communicate with people internal and external to TSC at all levels, be highly organised and have experience of working in an environment which heavily focuses on Customer Code of Practice.
