Materials Controller | Procurement | Animal Feeds & Packaging

We are working with a brilliant independent feed and milling business who are looking to add to their Procurement team with an enthusiastic Materials Controller working across their Animal feed lines and their packaging.

The Job:
In this particular position you will be working very closely with the Commercial Manager and getting involved with the planning and strategy surrounding procurement. This coupled with time spent working with the Technical Manager will enable you to plan and anticipate procurement very successfully along with understanding the relevant specifications.

This role is truly intricate to the success of the supply chain, managing stock and lead times along with long range forecasts is a very integral part of any business and ensuring its supply level is excellent throughout the year and busy seasons.

The day-to-day monitoring of raw materials and packaging will be required to help forecast what you will need in the coming months, so a good mixture of long-term and short-term planning.

The Successful Candidate:
The successful candidate will have the following skill set:
Good experience of supply chain and procurement in the agricultural sector, ideally dealing with similar products. Ideally negotiations experience as well.
Ideally stock control and call off intake experience.
Great organisation, IT and communication experience will help you build relationships internally and with clients.
