Our client is a blue-chip branded and private label business with a portfolio of marketing leading brands.

On their behalf I am recruiting for a Commercial Strategy Manager to work towards specific category agenda’s. This is a fast-paced role that sits within the Commercial Strategy team reporting to the Controller.

You will take responsibility for the market and revenue strategy for the category, working closely with the respective sales and marketing teams to help commercialise their brand and shopper marketing plans for the commercial teams in order to deliver the annual revenue targets. You will look at factors such as pack, price and promotions. This role will also partner supply chain and finance, offering invaluable exposure across the different functions of the business.

You will be;

  • Accountable for the implementation of the channel strategy
  • Bringing together the brand, revenue & customer plans to ensure optimal implementation by the sales team.
  • Responsible for influencing at a senior level, across multiple stakeholders to ensure best in class commercial delivery.
  • Responsible for acting as the commercial consultant across the channel, to give a clear understanding and direction on commercial opportunities.

To succeed in this role you MUST have a strong commercial understanding, preferably with experience managing a complex P&L. You MUST be an extremely strong influencer and be able to demonstrate experience leading change within your role. Finally, you must have the ability to analyse sales data as well as brand plans to be able to extract the relevant information required, in order to build strong commercial plans to work toward the revenue targets within your respective channel.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager with strong P&L and JBP experience who is looking to expand their experience beyond account management.
