Head of Sales - Foodservice

Up to £65,000 basic, up to 25% bonus, pension, family healthcare

We’re working exclusively with a frozen food business in order to find them a Head of Sales to take ownership of their UK operation whilst managing a small team. This business have an extremely loyal customer base who they’ve dealt with for years. Over the last 2 years, they’ve grown 28% and 20% respectively. They have a great production facility that they’re currently expanding and they have a very experienced management team. Their business is run according to their core values and all employees engage and live these values. In the next few years they are about to embark on an aggressive growth and acquisition strategy that you can play a key part in.

The role is very hands on, you’ll inherit a customer base which is predominantly foodservice accounts. These accounts will include the likes of major end users, pub groups, wholesalers, buying consortiums, B2B and restaurant groups. They also work with a few retailers, however, this is a smaller part of their business. Alongside picking up some of these key accounts, you will also take responsibility for managing a Sales Manager. The intention is that this team will expand to a team of two in 2019/2020.

We’re looking for a foodservice expert. You will currently be managing a variety of key UK foodservice accounts. An understanding of how they operate and how to get the most out of them is key. You may or may not have managed teams previously, however, an energy and desire for people management is pivotal (training can be provided).  You can be based anywhere in the UK. The expectation is that you’d spend 1 day per month in their Northern office.
