£35-40,000 Basic, 15% Bonus, Mileage Allowance + Benefits
Our Client is an expanding & successful Wine Business. A vacancy has arisen for a Key Account Manager based in the South East region.
They are looking for somebody who has sold a branded product into the wholesale / cash and carry channel ( mainly cash and carry as opposed to delivered, but a bit of both ).
Candidates need to have experience of dealing with Key/National Cash & Carry accounts within an FMCG category ideally drinks related.
End user exposure, although not an essential, is definitely a nice to have as they would like somebody who has also had experience of drumming up business via end users / independent convenience retailers so they can generate business in support of the wholesalers on a push/pull basis
The job holder will hold their own promotional budget so will need to be aware of the workings of P & L and promotions etc.
Previous category experience in order of priority is as follows; wine, spirits, beer, soft drinks. They may consider candidates from other FMCG categories although drinks would be very much preferred.
Branded experience is essential.
Candidates should have at the very least a personal interest in wine. WSET is not essential, but might be a small bonus
Remuneration – £35 to £40k basic plus bonus ( circa 15% ). They also operate a highly lucrative mileage allowance scheme ( 45 p per mile for the first 10,000 miles then 25p for any subsequent mileage ). As the cost of fuel is generally around 15p per mile the scheme generates more than enough income to cover the lease, taxing and insurance of pretty much any vehicle.
Location – Candidates need to be in the south east for this position, so no further than Luton in the north, down to Brighton in the south. No further west than Reading in the west, and Southend on Sea in the east.
