National Account Manager – Branded Consumer Goods – Homebased – Highly Attractive Salary
We are currently working closely with a market leading, renowned branded consumer goods supplier. Products are unique, diverse and used on a day to day basis by consumers all over the world. The brand is recognised as number 1 in its specific category. The business has global reach with both European and US based head offices. Out client is profitable, financially healthy and in a period of growth and expansion. Culturally the business is still family run so operates with a close-knit working culture which values people and looks to promote from within.
Due to an internal promotion the business is looking to recruit a National Account Manager to manage a number of high profile UK retail accounts.
The successful National Account Manager will join the business and inherit a portfolio of key retail customers. This may include a mixture of grocery, online and high street depending on preference and experience. You will have full P&L responsibility for these retailers and expected to grow your account base in line with the strategic plans of the business. The role is more account management led, you will need to be a strong relationship builder and have the ability to engage well with customers. You will need to be strong numerically and able to work well autonomously.
This National Account Manager opportunity is ideally suited to a Junior Account Manager or National Account Executive looking to take the next career step. Ideally you will have worked in a branded FMCG environment, product experience isn’t important as this can be learnt. Ideally you will have worked or supported on major retail accounts such as grocery, high street or online. Candidates from non-food or food & drink will be considered. The National Account Manager role will present an opportunity to be involved in major UK retailers and play an integral part in future growth. The business is looking for high potential individuals who want to progress. You must have a strong work ethic, be professional and engaging. Role is fully home-based with travel to Northern based head office once per week and regular customer visits.
