As a market leading distributor of food ingredients and over 80 years’ experience supplying food manufacturers around the world, this company specialises in production of several areas including, but not limited to, frozen fruits, frozen vegetables, honey and juices. Our client is now recruiting an Ingredients Trader that will report into the Sales Director and have full responsibility of their own accounts.
You will be responsible for sourcing the products and identifying potential opportunities with existing customers. This position will join the already high performing sales team which consists of 4 Sales Managers and 4 Sales Support. This is a great opportunity to join a company that values their employees with many incentives and events throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- To be able to source the products
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
- Achieve set sales targets and budgets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and customers
- Development of existing and new sales channels
- Managing P&L and creating reports for suppliers
In order to be considered for this fantastic new role it is essential that you have at least 5 years field sales experience within functional / formulation-based ingredients. Knowledge of Colours, Flavours, Spices, Oils, Seeds, Vitamins is beneficial.
The position would be perfect for someone who has worked in the food ingredients distribution sector with a strong background of sourcing the products direct from suppliers. It is a must that you have excellent relationships with food manufacturers (B2B).
