Key Responsibilities

Targets and Account Responsibilities
  • Annual sales and contribution targets as agreed with the Controller / Sales Director.


Business Planning
  • To analyse, propose and agree annual Joint Business Plans with key buyers in line with company objectives, promotional budgets and the customer's planning calendar.


Influencing Key Buyers
  • To work with key stakeholders to produce rationale and present business case for introduction of NPD, gaining distribution and in-store presence and display.


Relationship Management
  • To develop & maintain an effective working relationship with key buyers, supply chain and regulatory contacts.


General Account Management
  • To complete accurately and within given time frames, all aspects of internal and external communication to ensure effective management of the given account.


Experience & Knowledge
  • An Account Manager with extensive experience of UK grocery channels.
  • Extensive experience of working with distributors, major retailers or E-customers
  • Used to multi-functional work across logistics, regulatory, sales, marketing and finance.
  • Food OR Non-food FMCG experience will both be considered.
  • Previous experience in a consumer goods or other B2B environment, with very good analytical skills
  • Performance analysis skills to monitor performance versus strategy and to continually improve
  • Excellent copy writing skills and ability to write and present to an agreed tone of voice
  • Experience of working closely with marketing and senior teams to align on strategy and execution
