The Account Controller role is a position that is pivotal to the organisation's success. Carrying full P&L responsibility for the major Grocers and other retailers, the successful candidate will set out to achieve growth in line with business objectives. Taking on a team management role, and leadership across both the Convenience and Food Service sectors, the Account Controller will seek to encourage and develop people to achieving their own personal, and team goals.
The successful candidate will nurture and develop existing relationships, alongside driving new business development opportunities in line with business objectives. The successful candidate will seek to build trusted advisor status with their accounts, developing and building joint business plans in order to meet mutually beneficial goals; managing internal stakeholders and processes in order to deliver the most effective customer service. Furthermore, the Account Controller will demonstrate their commercial agility through delivery of compelling customer propositions, all the while delivering brand plans and new product launches.
The Account Controller will support the Sales Director in the development and delivery of the activity plan, establishing a promotion strategy, and guidelines to deliver budget. The successful candidate will constantly seek continuous improvement not only to deliver the best solution to their customers, but to ensure the team can achieve their utmost.
The role will be office-based in Gloucester when not on the road with customers, the team or at industry-relevant events.
