An opening has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the business and inherit the South West territory which is already well established.
Reporting into the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for a key area for the business. This patch is already well established with a number of existing customers in place across the independent channel. Some customers are unique to the specific product category, this person will therefore need to be adaptable and able to build relationships with a variety of retailers. An element of the Area Sales Manager role will be new business development and maximizing all new sales opportunities. You will need to achieve and exceed area revenue in-line with set budgets and promote the brand with the ability to convey an inspirational story. This person must ensure all weekly KPIs are met, journey plans are executed and great customer service is delivered. You will have full use of current CRM system and the backing of internal team members to support you in the role.
In order to be considered for this Area Sales Manager position, you will need to have previous sales experience. Ideally you will have worked in a field or area sales role in a consumer goods category, it would be helpful to have sold a non-food product but not essential. We are open to candidates currently in internal sales roles looking to move into field sales. You will need to be a consultative sales person and have the ability to build rapport and long-lasting customer relationships. You must be curious, energetic, adaptable and ambitious. Other important attributes include financial acumen, strong negotiation skills and the ability to present in a confident manner.
