Area Sales Manager – Sports Apparel/Teamwear

A well-recognised client of mine has been in contact with an exciting new opportunity to join their ever-growing business in the sports apparel industry. The business is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join the sales team, this person will be responsible for looking after an established territory covering a band of postcodes in the North of England.

The ideal candidate will be an established Area Sales Manager on the territory, you will have experience managing an account base made up of Schools, Universities and Sports Clubs. There will be a 60/40 split between managing the existing account base as well as prospecting for new business, so a proven track record of success would be essential.

The ideal location for the right candidate would be in the Leicester/Nottingham area, as this part of the patch that has numerous profitable accounts. You will need to be a regimented and structured individual with the ability to strategically plan your day in advance and be able to focus on getting the needed results.

To be considered for this position you will need to have experience selling a product (ideally from the sports industry) into the education/sports club channels, as well as ideally having a passion for sports in order to help build rapport with customers.
