The Role

Operations & Warehouse Supervisor ( Night Shift )

The Organisation

An opportunity has arisen for a Operations & Warehouse Supervisor ( Night Shift ) to join a busy Warehouse & Distribution depot based in South West London, Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, this role will take responsibility for the overall function.

The Position

Shift Hours - Monday to Friday 2.30am - 11.00am
Variable shift pattern during the week with voluntary overtime during peak periods
Coordinating and planning of staff rotas
Ensure picking accuracy and efficiency
Assisting with the coordination of the loading & unloading of stock plus supervising daily stock replenishment (hand ball and forklift would be an advantage)

Implementing improvement ideas with staff and associates
leading team meetings and briefings
Picking and preparation of orders for despatch
Liaising with Customer Services, and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved
Ensuring service standards are maintained, work processes are monitored and improved
Communicating issues for handover to the afternoon team

Health & Safety
Ensuring the team works in accordance with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures

The Person

Experience in managing and motivating a team
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Pro-active, and able to manage and plan their own and others work
Exceptional team work, and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the company
Articulated Fork Lift Licence desirable but not essential
