National Account Manager
I am representing one of the UK’s largest ambient manufacturers on a National Account Manager opportunity, supporting their Waitrose account. They are the leading key player within their field, employing over 1500 people and have recently taken on the acquisition of a smaller manufacturer within their field.

You will come on board as part of their Commercial Team where your main focus will be to drive, develop and grow the existing relationship within the Value Channel (Heron, Poundland, Farmfoods & Wilkinsons) offering their full product portfolio. This portfolio is predominantly branded but there may be opportunity in the future for Own Label products and also the SKUs that sit within the smaller manufacturer they have acquired.
You will work very closely with internal functions in the business such as NPD, Finance, Projects and Marketing. You’ll be a very driven individual as you will get the autonomy to push forward ideas and take full ownership of one of their main retail accounts, Waitrose.
This is a home based position with travel weekly to their offices in Hertfordshire along with travel to their Northern customer base.
You will have previous sales experience working with the Major Multiples or Discounters along with experience of managing a P&L and working with the customers within the food and drinks category is essential. You will be an effective relationship builder who has a structured and logical way of thinking with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be in a NAE/JNAM role looking for a step up or a NAM looking for a new challenge.
