Our Vision is to have a shared Pride and Passion for baking sensational biscuits & snacks that delight our consumers, shoppers and our customers. We’re the only major biscuit manufacturer in the UK to focus solely on biscuits, making us one of the key players in the market. We employ circa 1,800 people around the UK, with the majority of our workforce being based at our three main Bakery facilities in Llantarnam, Edinburgh and Blackpool. Our head office is based in St. Albans, with a subsidiary office located in Blackpool & a smaller but equally important Bakery based in Dorset.
We had an amazing 2018, which has included seeing Wagon Wheels featured on the Great British Bake Off and our Llantarnam site featuring on ITV4, as part of their documentary 'Made in Britain'. Along with having amazing brands, we have secured a long term agreement to allow us to manufacture a number of Mars Biscuit branded products & Cathedral City savoury snacks. We are also forming key strategic partnerships within the Retailer Private Label sector.
In order to ensure we can continue to make fantastic biscuits, and to help us on this amazing journey, we are proud to announce that in early 2019 we completed the acquisition of a premium sweet and savoury biscuit manufacturer Thomas Fudge’s. This will only increase our baking capabilities across a number of brand new sweet & savoury categories.
As the new home of Thomas Fudge’s premium biscuit brand, Burton’s Biscuits envisage Thomas Fudge’s as forming a key branded range across our existing product portfolio.

This is an opportunity to join a great sales team full of energy, drive and the passion to make a real difference, striving to do the best for their customers and seeing the results of that drive promoting some of the best biscuit brands on the market and not forgetting our partner brands now including Mars.
Our International team have biscuits that are found across Europe, Canada, the Middle East, and Russia and all the way to Australia.
What does your typical day look like?
Every day is different at Burton’s Biscuit Company, but the main purpose of this role will be to step change how we engage European retailers by developing partnerships at a market level whilst also managing day to day existing accounts, and maximise growth potential.
One day you might in the office speaking to our key international customers, the following day you might be on a plane to meet with a new customer or buyer in person.
Don’t worry, you won’t be travelling every other day, but you would be travelling 1-2 days every couple of weeks, which will include overnight stays.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will have strong Account Management experience, where you have worked with international customers within a food or an FMCG environment. You will also need to be comfortable on the phone, a strong negotiator and be an excellent presenter; part of this role would be to bring on new retailer brand business.
