Summary:
Are you a commercially minded sales professional who excels in developing long-standing relationships with customers and developing new accounts? Are you a person who enjoys working with different cultures and international travel? Are you hungry to develop and take the next step to progress your career within an ethical business? As an International Account Manager you will ensure the portfolio of products are marketed and sold effectively across European accounts. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a few years demonstrable experience in international food sales and would like to progress further.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing sales and promotions in certain international markets to retailers and distributors in each country
- Create and negotiate new business plans with customers
- Full P&L responsibility of accounts
- Introduce exciting NPD and gain listings across accounts
- Develop and agree promotional and marketing plans for customers and ensure they are delivered in line with business strategy
- Attending trade shows and promoting the business in various countries
- Maximise sales by actively analysing sales data, maintaining good communication and introducing new ways of working
- Liaise with sales and logistics team to ensure customer satisfaction at all times
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience within an international key accounts sales role and an understanding of the FMCG food and drink industry
- Fluency in European languages especially French/Spanish an advantage
- Excellent commercial, analytical and presentation skills
- Proactive in developing and maintaining customer relationships
- A professional and positive manner to create excellent customer rapport
- Must demonstrate a high level of numeracy and solid data analysis and presentation skills on MS Excel and Power Point.
- A high level of fluency in English, both spoken and written, enabling the necessary direct business communication with all customers and suppliers
- Willingness to travel to visit customers - International travel 2-3 times a month is expected as part of this role
