We're looking for a future leader to join our eCommerce team, managing one of PepsiCo's most innovative and strategic customers. PepsiCo have a unrivalled relationship with this dynamic PurePlay account and we're on the hunt for a business manager who can accelerate this further, maximising all of the opportunities that come from working with a highly strategic customer account; including launching new and exclusive products with this customer, adopting a test and learn/fail fast approach to your work and playing an integral role in developing the agenda for the top to top meetings that are supported by the senior leadership team in PepsiCo, both within the UK and globally. The right candidate will have a mixture of strong commercial skills as well as solid trading experience - you'll also have an entrepreneurial flair that will enable you to find pockets of growth where others can't.

The key to this role is being able to take a strategic and collaborative consultative approach in order to bring others on board with your ideas (some of which will be new to us!). You'll have very strong communication skills to engage with a wide range of customers and internal partners/ stakeholders.

This is a high-profile role and will get give the successful candidate a terrific platform to make an impression across all functions within PepsiCo.

What you'll get up to

  • Build partnership with the customer to develop, manage & execute our joint business plans to achieve Net Rev, Volume & share targets
  • Work closely with our Future Brands team to build the brands of tomorrow. You will be given the privilege to launch brands first on the basis you will secure first class support and inform the future strategy
  • Support the eCommerce director and account controller in developing the strategic partnership
  • Own the day-to-day commercial relationships with the customer, optimising product visibility online & executing stand out digital campaigns
  • Work through internal category, insight, marketing and commercial teams to deliver PepsiCo UK account plans
  • Utilise trade investment & online trading levers efficiently through negotiation and developing a promotional strategy that drives Net Rev and MC
  • Maintain scorecards & consistent KPIs - Provide regular detailed insights of sales and media performance, summarising in scorecards to enable comparisons and insight driven actions
  • Work with the customer and internal cross-functional teams to secure best-in-class visibility and execute the promotional programme to deliver ROI
  • Develop and deliver execution for Marketing programmes, New Product Development and base initiatives, in line with internal expectations
  • Provide support and input into building the long-term customer plans and the translation of this into AOP priorities
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial flair by identifying new areas for growth, developing plans which create incremental selling space and new channel development opportunities
  • Deliver eCommerce Test & Learn initiatives against joint priorities to drive future growth in in the market as identified in the Joint Business Plans
  • Manage and develop cross-functional relationships both internally and externally: Customer Profitability, Shopper Marketing, Customer Insights, Supply, Marketing [esp. digital specialists], Business Information Services (IT), Finance & Credit Control
  • Development of the PepsiCo UK digital & broader sales team engaging in cultural change initiatives and capability building
  • Being an active member of a wider global eComm community and partnering throughout the organisation on eComm initiatives

  • Your experience and ability
  • Strong commercial acumen e.g. experience of managing a P&L
  • A self-starter and someone who would thrive under the pressure of managing a high profile account
  • Ecommerce experience - online trading levers, promotional tools and visibility (preferable, not essential)
  • Ability to collaborate and influence using sound evidence and business focus
  • Ability to build winning relationships with both internal & external stakeholders
  • An ambitious individual with a real hunger to succeed
  • Background in FMCG
