Job Description

Would you like to join this expanding team to develop existing business and build a new client base?

English Braids is looking for an individual who is looking to develop their sales career within an established UK manufacturing business. English Braids is a leading UK manufacturer of ropes and cords sold into Sailing, Climbing, winching & lifting and the offshore market places. The route to market varies between retail and a direct B2B model. The company values customer relationships and is looking for a field sales agent to cover the southern territory building account loyalty and new business opportunities.

The business is focused on quality, customer service therefore the role will suit someone that is able to thrive off these values and help drive business off the back of this.

This requires a self-motivated, passionate salesperson who will be able to have total responsibility for not only existing accounts but also look at developing new business.

Job specification:

· Field based sales role developing relationships with key customers and markets.

· Blend of account management and new business development (70:30).

· Mixed account base of independent retail (FMCG) and B2B (OEM) account management.

· Development of client relationships and cross selling opportunities

· Promoting retail sales, new product launch and range expansion.

· Targeting and developing new business within territory inline with company multi market strategy

· Contacting prospective clients by telephone, mail, email and face to face.

· Meeting realistic sales targets

· Customer data base management

Requirements:

· Positive, responsible individual with a good sense of humour and ability to work independently.

· Experience in product-based sales essential

· A successful sales track record in a B2B market

· Personal, professional, and compelling phone manner

· Minimum of 3 years sales experience

· Beneficial knowledge of Leisure Marine, Commercial marine, Height Safety or Lifting.

· Experience with objection handling and account development

· Target-driven and ambitious

· Excellent communication skills and pro-active

· Able to travel with overnight stays up to 2 to 3 nights a week depending on applicants’ location.

Remuneration

· Basic £25k to £30k plus competitive OTE to match experience.

· 21 days Holiday plus bank holidays, Pension (rising to 23 after 5 years)
