Your new company
A market-leader in their industry employing thousands of colleagues throughout the UK, this is an instantly recognisable retail business loved by their customers for the choice, value and quality. As they continue to strive to stay ahead of the competition they are looking to appoint a Buyer of Beauty products to source and negotiate with suppliers and engage with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain and Marketing to ensure the business delivers a market leading product offer

Your new role
You will be required to manage your designated trading area, which will include pricing, product availability and ensuring you have the right product mix to deliver sales in line with set targets and budgets, whilst developing your teams expertise. A key part of the role will be to maximise contributions from your suppliers through negotiation and the development of products ranges, as well as working with both suppliers and internal marketing teams to plan and manage your promotional calendar. You will also be required to work closely with NPD and Product Innovation teams to put together a market-leading own brand range

What you'll need to succeed
You will have trading / buying experience in a retail or wholesale environment where you will have demonstrable track record of success in delivering a profitable and innovative product range. You will also need to the ability to handle complex negotiations and to set / manage budgets to deliver sales against target. Ideally you will have experience of Trading within a fast moving consumer good product category such as Health and Beauty or Food / FMCG
