Our client is part of a major international food group, they are the brand leader in several of their product groups in both the retail and foodservice market. They have been consistently successful, developing organically, and their products are consumed at home by millions.
As a result of continued growth, they are now looking for a Marketing Director to help further develop their portfolio of brands and grow the business further.
Reporting in to the Managing Director, with a full team of senior marketers reporting in the role will be to lead the end to end marketing function with responsibility for NPD, Brand Marketing and Brand & Shopper Activation. You will be tasked with the strategic commercial direction for both all of the brands within the business, helping deliver fully integrated marketing plans.
You will have overall charge of the brand P & L’s and you will be responsible for the delivery of the annual business plans and process for the brands. Your challenge would be to develop growth - identifying insights and category growth drivers, managing a challenging innovation pipeline, delivering new packaging and product formats and driving brand activation and promotional initiatives in conjunction with the company's major customers and markets.
This is a role for a marketer who is passionate about innovation and food; a marketer who understands the importance of authenticity of the brand and product quality to attracting and retaining consumer interest and engagement.
Our ideal candidate
In what is a challenging senior marketing role, you will have a track record of driving market beating growth in a branded food environment, with particular strengths in product innovation, above the line advertising and commercial management. You will have an excellent understanding of the grocery retail channels. You will have board level marketing experience, have a clear strategic perspective and be highly analytical.
