Your new company
Hays are working with a leading global organisation who are looking to recruit an Assistant Product Manager (Assistant Buyer) for a modern and forward thinking consumer electronics business. They are based in state of the art of the art offices in the Greater Manchester area. This is a terrific opportunity to join a business who are innovative, fast paced and vibrant.

Your new role
In a relatively traditional industry, this company operate with a modern and unique approach to how they do business with their suppliers and customers. As part of the Product Management team, this is a new role within the business to support our focus on new products and range development. You will work closely with the Product Managers to support them in the delivery of the category strategy, playing an important role in the New Product Introduction NPI process.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideal applicant s for this position will have some experience in a Buying, Purchasing or Product Management role, ideally with an understanding of online marketing and modern digital marketing techniques in a B2B wholesale or distribution environment. It would also be advantageous if you are proficient in the use of ERP systems and MS Office (especially SAP, Excel and Powerpoint). You will have excellent numerical and verbal communication skills, with a natural flair for analysis. But just as importantly you will have drive, high energy and enthusiasm, coupled with a can do attitude and a willingness to learn.
