The Company

Operating an international business supplying frozen food in an ethical and sustainable manner to major wholesale and retail accounts, this company is a well-respected leader within its industry and garners envious attention from the wider grocery market. Now with plans to expand their presence in the countries they currently operate in they are looking to augment their current sales team with this key appointment.

The Role

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

  • Direct sales responsibilities, fully accountable for developing a sales budget for each assigned account
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly annual sales forecast by account within your assigned region
  • Manage, maintain & build a business opportunity pipeline to meet growth targets
  • Develop, review and report on the business, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood by senior management
  • Identify new customers within markets, segments and sub segments
  • Management of the Overall Business Development Function
  • Coordinate marketing activities to support account and brand development
  • Manage ongoing competitor and market analysis
  • Ensure efficient and effective marketing and promotional planning
  • Meet or exceed forecast/budgeted expectations. Prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines

The Candidate

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Proven track record in the fresh/frozen food related industry
  • Ability to work independently while capitalizing on the strength of the sales team
  • Bring a disciplined approach but remain entrepreneurial at heart
  • Strong skills in sales management & business development
  • Solid project and time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with above average computer skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong communication abilities
