Job Details

I am representing a forward thinking FMCG wine business who is one of the pioneers of their category. They are a family owned business that has been running for over 40 years, selling their products across the UK as well as exporting to the US, Japan, China and Europe. In the last seven years they have been recognised as experts within the field and have been presented two industry awards.

They are seeking an exceptional individual to ultimately drive sales in both regional and national On-Trade accounts. You will liaise with direct accounts, independent retailers and distributors where you will act as a brand ambassador. You will be joining the business at an exciting time as not only is the wine category in growth, but you will be given the freedom to shape your role and therefore the company as a whole.

You will be home based but visit their head office in Sussex once a week to meet with your intimate team. You will be expected to travel to clients also, to ensure you stay the face of the brand. You want to be part of a supportive team who will enable you the career development you are seeking.

You will have previous sales experience, ideally for a producer or importer of wine, and you will have proven expertise of developing new business opportunities. You will ideally be working for a wine or spirits business and be looking for the next step into an autonomous role. You will be an effective relationship builder who has a structured and logical way of thinking with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be qualified to WSET Level 3 or above.
