A Digital Trading Manager is required to be responsible for maximising the potential of a key customer’s online business by improving sales and margin performance and identifying opportunities for growth.  You will be the ‘go to’ person working with marketing, stocks and buying teams in growing online sales in a structured and sustainable way. The role will include ongoing management of an online trading plan

Key aspects of the role are:

  • Build long term relationships with key influencers within our customers business.
  • Conduct regular in-depth onsite/offsite analysis per product category and competitor, providing feedback and recommendations to the wider business on aspects such as onsite merchandising, landing pages, products, depth of range and gaps, pricing, promotional messaging and execution, content, user experience.
  • Identify and deliver commercial growth opportunities with existing products and new ranges.
  • Analyse KPI metrics to maximise sales opportunities. Review weekly sales data, summarising and highlighting any changes in sales patterns to relevant stakeholders in addition to providing recommendations and advising on corrective measures where necessary
  • Support relevant teams to improve traffic, sales, ROI, CPA conversion rate and basket size.
  • Work closely with the merchandising teams, buying and marketing teams to plan online, range launches, promotions and key product themes ensuring the online execution is flawless
  • Keep abreast with new trends in digital technology which may be relevant to our customer
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box to offer solutions to drive sales.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management regarding department milestones and progress

You must be extremely customer focused with good organisational and time-management skills. Great team player skills are a must with a good understanding of customer’s needs and fulfilling them. You must have experience & evidence of management and growth of customers within the online space. What’s more you’ll be confident, capable of working under pressure and solving problems whilst maintaining efficiency, flexibility and general professionalism.
