Key duties are managing the ongoing development and improvement of the Ferrero UK Grocery impact field operation for which you are responsible. Delivering value to your client by ensuring effective implementation and compliance of planned blitz activity alongside regular call file activity.  Coaching & developing a Team of 4 ASMs.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Managing and motivating your team of Area Sales Managers
  • Agreeing stretching but achievable KPIs and ensuring that these are delivered & exceeded
  • Reviewing and preparing results analysis at the end of each cycle alongside the ASM: using this analysis to improve both individual and team performance and to make strategic recommendations on the long term development of the Impact channel
  • Ensuring that all field executives and managers achieve the required levels of performance ongoing, managing all relevant HR processes

Objectives

  • Drive sales growth and return on investment through Team
  • To achieve call coverage levels in excess of 97% (after paid holiday and training)
  • To achieve set KPIs through effective management and focus
  • To manage and motivate your team of ASMs
  • To carry out an effective work*with with each ASM at least once every four weeks
  • To conduct effective OWO reviews with each ASM each week
  • To ensure that ASM are conducting effective work*with with each member of their team at least once every six weeks
  • To ensure that ASM are conducting effective audits with each member of their team at least once every six weeks
  • To ensure that ASM are conducting effective OWO reviews with each Field Exec each week
  • To prepare and implement Personal Development Programmes with all ASMs, seeking advice from CSC
  • To ensure all instances of potential disciplinary action are logged, notes kept and correct procedures followed
  • To ensure that new starter inductions are planned and delivered effectively
  • To ensure that all new starters are taken through the Ferrero standard probationary training and review process during their first 6 months of employment
  • Management of cost control and expenses of each Team, ensuring spending is within budget limit
  • To ensure that each member of the Ferrero Grocery Operations team has a clear understanding of tasks, responsibilities and deadlines involved regarding the support of the Ferrero Impact field team
  • To ensure correct procedures are followed and relevant forms and paperwork are always used when briefing Central Services departments (starters, leavers, fleet)
  • To ensure all deadlines agreed with the client are practical, achievable and adhered to
  • To communicate with and meet client contacts (Ferrero National Sales Manager: Grocery) on a regular basis
  • To provide commentary and insight-based recommendations on field performance on a weekly basis
  • To prepare content and attend team meetings on an 4 weekly basis
  • To ensure client and field queries are dealt with efficiently and within 24 hours
  • To clearly express ideas and views orally and in writing in a persuasive, positive and clear, concise manner
  • To ensure results are presented to agreed timescales and standards
  • To demonstrate personal and professional standards as required and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • To handle all confidential material or information with total and absolute discretion at all times
  • To take any other tasks or projects not outlined above as and when required

You will need:

  • To be results driven – proven track record

Knowledge of grocery and convenience retail sector

  • Previous sales management experience
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen
  • The ability to analyse data (team performance, sales trends etc)
  • The ability to think strategically
  • To be IT Literate
  • A Positive and flexible attitude
  • A Clean driving licence
  • To be Willing to stay away
