SENIOR COMMERCIAL LEAD– Foodservice / B2B channel

Futura Foods UK is a successful and growing UK division of a European Chilled foods Group supplying a wide range of continental branded and own-label Dairy Products into Grocery Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice trade channels. The company has ambitious growth plans for the UK and are now looking to expand the Sales team further with the appointment of a senior Commercial lead to manage a portfolio of Foodservice, Wholesale and End User accounts, including but not exclusively Brakes, Bidfood, Whitbread & Greencore.
The ideal candidate will have previous food experience at NAM / SNAM / Controller level, and a strong knowledge and understanding of the Foodservice or B2B sector. Previous dairy, chilled foods or short-life products experience would be an advantage. More importantly the job requires a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent leadership skills, strong commercial acumen, a hands on approach and an individual who is just as skilled at “hunting” for new business across the channels as well as “farming” existing customers. You will need to demonstrate plenty of passion, energy and enthusiasm to be seriously considered.
The position is office based, hoverer there will be a requirement to visit customers 2 – 3 days a week. In addition the role will require a small amount of European travel on a selective basis, probably 1-2 times per year.
