Role:

They are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to be part of the leadership team for one of their most important sites and also a Centre of Excellence. The site has received significant investment over the last few years, and there are a number of exciting projects still to be initiated. This investment has also been complimented by a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing.

The Operations Manager will need to manage the conversion process on site and manage all activities within the manufacturing process ensuring all goals and targets are met within agreed time, cost, quality, safety, people and environmental parameters.





Requirements:

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the Production Stream managers to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work.
• Build trust through effective leadership and the skilled application of people management processes and open 2 way communications.
• Develop and implement a site operational strategy to meet the goals of the site and overall business strategy.
• Continually review and adjust the strategy in line with internal and external changes.
• Undertake competitive benchmarking assessment to ensure operational targets and capabilities are continually challenged.
• Manage and own total cost of conversion on site, focusing on systems & operational activity standardisation and improvement.

In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Proven experience working in highly automated, process driven food manufacturing.
• Proven experience building high performing teams.
