Your new company
Our client is one of the largest distributors of Music, DVD and Multi Media products and providers of Merchandise and Supply Chain Planning solutions. They work hand in hand with a number of the UK's largest retailers.
Your new role
Based in the modern and vibrant offices of one of these retailers, they are currently recruiting for a Retail Supply Chain Analyst or Merchandise Planner. You will support their Buying and Merchandising team with planning and forecasting in order to drive commercial and supply chain efficiencies. You will manage the on-site engagement and relationship between the brand, and the retail Buying / Category team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysis of data, providing insights and making recommendations to drive supply chain efficiency and maximise availability.
- Managing the day to day inventory management systems to ensure accurate forecasting
- Provide analysis of data on a product by product basis ensuring the stock volumes are managed and space is utilised effectively
- Work with store segmentation data to ensure customer profile and geography is a consideration when planning and forecasting sales
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the vacancy, you will need to be a highly analytical and commercially minded individual with a proven track record of planning and forecasting in retail supply chain environment. You will be highly adaptable and be able to prioritise your workload and manage fluctuating deadlines. Even better if you have operated as a supply chain implant for an FMCG within the retail industry. Furthermore, you will be highly PC literate with advanced skills in excel and the have the ability to analyse complex sales data. Self motivated, you must be able to work individually and as part of an extended team by using your strong communication & presentation skills.

You will be entitled to a competitive salary of up to £30,000 dependent on experience, 25 days holidays + bank holidays and contributory pension.
