This is a long term career development opportunity with an established and growing privately owned UK Design Company which produces and distributes intelligent and innovative consumer products world-wide.  It has an extensive range of products directed by a strong design team from their head office in North Yorkshire. The company has an excellent reputation and supplies well-known national retailers, independent retailers, booksellers, gift and toy shops, and pharmacies and it also goes through some specialist distribution channels. 

There is significant growth potential in the marketplace and as a result of continued successful growth the need has been identified for a UK Sales Manager who will be based at their Head office in North Yorkshire and will report to the companies Head of Sales. This new role represents a key building block in their longer term strategy and structure for growth. You will be joining an enthusiastic and dedicated team of colleagues and your focus will be to develop new business and manage existing customer accounts. There are in excess of 200 accounts currently and these include major well-known retail names and you will be expected to maintain a high personal profile with key customers. They are looking to make this a long-term appointment and a high calibre individual with the potential to grow within the company is required. 

You will ideally have a strong background of selling through their channels, major retailers and wholesalers in particular. You are likely to be graduate qualified and on an upward curve in your career and you will have proven, solid experience of achieving sales targets and it is important that you have been trained in a professional selling organisation. Sectors of potential interest are broad ranging from FMCG, branded household products, novelty, gifts, toys, or craft to name some. 

To some extent, the client is very open minded regarding your specific sales experience as they are placing significant emphasis on the positive energy, drive and ambition you will bring to this role.

You will be expected to reside within the North Yorkshire area which is an attractive location and be prepared to travel throughout the UK very regularly possibly up to 50% of your time being on the road. The salary and company car are also supported with a laptop and mobile.
