Role - National Account Executive / Junior NAM

Location - North of England

Salary - 25000 - 35000 + Car + commission/bonus & benefits

One of the UK's best loved and quintessentially British food brands have recently set up a brand-new Foodservice division and want YOU to help them grow it!

The role of National Account Executive involves supporting the new Head of Foodservice to grow the brand across a broad customer base including; Regional and National Pub, Hotel and Restaurant Chains, Contract Caterers and National Wholesalers. This involves not only sourcing and winning new business but also then continually incentivising your new clients to promote your brand with their end customers.

So, on a day to day basis you might be visiting pub/hotel managers/area managers and working with their teams to drive product sales. Or potentially working with client's head office sales, marketing and events teams on how to best promote and position the fantastic line of products so it will become not just the no1 seller in the category for retail but also foodservice!

This is a challenging position. You will be dealing with customers on many levels from various disciplines so you will need bags of confidence and a passion for business development and existing account growth. This is also a fun position - you can leave the suit at home, it doesn't fit the culture of the brand and the message they want to give to the customer base which is fast based, fun and highly non-corporate.

You will have great support from the new Head of Foodservice who has vast experience in winning and developing customers across Foodservice channels. You will gain access to senior decision makers within major national accounts across HORECA and beyond. There will even be a good bit of international travel to help support the export side of the business.

The company, established for just a few years but already the top selling retail brand in the category, have been in the Grocer magazines fastest growing UK companies for the last 3 years, including 2 top 10 finishes. They love to drive NPD and encourage all customers to visit their brand new on site kitchen for fun tasting sessions!

Prior experience of the food industry in a regional, national field sales role is very important so please emphasise this in your application. If you have no prior knowledge of food/FMCG then please do feel free to get in touch with your most compelling argument as to how your existing skills are transferable!

Although much of your time will be spent out visiting customers, due to the office location it is essentially that you are based either in Yorkshire (specifically North of the M62) or the North East of England.

You will be rewarded with a generous starting salary which is totally open dependent on experience but 25000 - 35000 is a fair guideline. You will also get a company car or car allowance and a highly generous commission/bonus scheme.
