A great opportunity has arisen at Newby Teas for a passionate and driven Sales Manager. As part of a small sales team based in our London HQ in the heart of Clerkenwell, you will have a key role in growing and expanding the business across the UK 

The Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and once won, managing those accounts. A pro-active role requiring research and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expansion and penetration in UK market to grow the business
  • Extensive research to identify potential business leads, secure meetings, contract new business and service accounts once secured
  • Participating at trade exhibitions and willing to travel to foreign offices
  • Reporting to the Departmental Heads and Chairman (daily and weekly)
  • Ensure all sales targets are achieved
  • Maintain & develop professional business relationship with all existing and new customers
  • Identify new product development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge & awareness of competitor activity within the defined territories to provide pricing and promotional recommendations
  • Identify, analyse and report market developments throughout the sales territory
  • Develop and maximise business within key market sectors
  • Tea Training

Person Specification:    

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to ensure effective communication with a wide range of contacts both internal and external
  • Relevant experience with a premium brand within FMCG or Hospitality
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software packages, preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in order to adhere to deadlines
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Team player who enjoys a challenge with the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
