About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Field Sales Merchandiser to support the Retail Sales Team across the North and Scotland.  The successful candidate will be responsible for a designated area and will ideally live within close proximity to the northern motorway corridors. The role reports to the National Sales Manager.

This is a challenging role with the unique opportunity to add real value to the business.

You will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of premium bean to cup Coffee machines and will have the opportunity to grow your skills supporting the sales team.

The role involves visiting retail outlets to an agreed journey plan, implementing action plans to agreed objectives, and using your own initiative and enthusiasm to generate extra sales, whilst supporting our distribution partners.

This role has two main elements.

  1. Merchandising and regular visiting of existing JURA points of sale.  This part involves engagement with both independent and multiple retailers (for example John Lewis Partnership).  This to ensure the correct display of our products, to promote regular contact and to provide training/selling to our retail partners.
  2. Sales and New Business Development.  Identifying sales opportunities within existing Accounts and developing new business opportunities within our set UK strategy.

Likely contact will be with:  JURA Consultants (in store Demonstrators), Business Owners, Department Store Department Managers, Store Managers, Buyers. Visual Merchandisers.

About the Person

We are looking for an enthusiastic person preferably with some experience in field sales or merchandising, this could represent an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to venture into a sales role, or perhaps you are a field sales representative now looking to change your role. You must have an excellent eye for detail and work with a high standard of customer service in mind.

You should have good IT skills.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build credibility across all areas of the business and build working relationships with customers. We’re looking for a team player, but one who enjoys working on their own initiative and taking ownership of issues. You need to be able to work to tight deadlines.

The Candidate:

  • Ambitious and target driven.
  • Proven experience of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Sound experience of engagement with small/Independent merchants is highly desirable
  • Experience within the premium goods or appliance sector is desirable.
  • Proactive and adaptable
  • Outgoing, confident and personable.
  • Professional with a great work ethic.
  • Great communication skills and ability to build strong rapport.
  • Competent using technology to record and report your results
  • Locations Required: North, Midlands and Scotland
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in objection handling
  • Field marketing experience preferable
