The Business 

A private label ambient snacks manufacturer is seeing to appoint an experienced manufacturing manager for their North East based site. The business has recently undergone an investment process implementing state of the art baking facilities. They produce a wide assortment of sweet snack products including a gluten free line to highlight their ability to change and develop in a highly competitive market place. They are driven by quality and support leading supermarkets who are looking to improve the quality of their own label offering and diversifying into breakfast bars, biscuits and savoury products.

The Role

  • Responsible for Shift Managers, Team Leaders and production staff
  • Direct responsibility for shifts labour, waste and production giveaway costs, and to deliver associated budgets
  • Integrate resources within the production, goods in and warehouse teams to ensure that all energies and directed to meeting production priorities
  • Work with technical management team to ensure and improve product quality, food safety and allergen management control
  • Review training needs of reporting staff and develop team skill set
  • Contribute to establishment of short and long term planning requirements
  • Manage and report on labour and material spend within agreed budgets
  • Enure correct movement, storage and use of all packaging and raw materials and WIP on site carried out in an appropriate manner
