Signature Career Management are partnered with an FMCG organisation based in the North West that is offering heaps of development and looking to appoint a Commercial Executive!  Commutable from both Liverpool and Manchester, this position will suit someone who is in a NAE position/ Commercial Analyst role who already supports the wider commercial team but looking for a commercially robust position which offers a clear progression path.

This is a newly created position and has arisen due to sustained growth over the years.  Fast paced and market leading in their sector, specialising in own label products and supplying to the major retailers, this is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress in their career to take the next step. 

You will be an integral part of a fun loving, outgoing, ambitious hardworking team, helping support sales forecasting across all customers. This is a customer and commercially focused opportunity and offers a great deal of job satisfaction given the significant impact you will undoubtedly have!

Main accountabilities for this role include:

  • Support the management of the customer’s forecast by using collaborative planning systems (such as Asda Retail Link) to retrieve, analyse and present meaningful data to the internal Commercial team.
  • Develop and maintain an evidence base to support and aid the decision making process for both base and promotional forecasts, collaboratively agreeing volumes and timings with both the Commercial Managers and customer trading teams.
  • Conducting post promotional reviews including forecast accuracy analysis and liaising with all parties to deliver improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong, deep lying collaborative relationships with the Commercial teams to enable continued performance improvement across the wider teams.
  • Understand and achieve the commercial departmental KPI’s to drive on-going progress against company objectives.
  • Actively participate in development of continuous improvement initiatives between manufacturer and key customers.
  • Driving effective decision making through using all available information and resources to inform actions.

Successful Applicants –

  • Excellent numerical and analysis ability, able to work with and understand commercial forecasts
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel is vital
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident team player
  • Confidence to constructively challenge others
