Sous Chef

Basic Salary c. £28,000-£30,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location – NW Scotland

My client is an award winning privately-owned 5* hotel in the North-West of Scotland. They currently have a vacancy for a Sous Chef with fine-dining experience

The Hotel houses a 3 AA Rosette restaurant which prides itself on premium locally sourced ingredients, and the role will encompass the effective delivery of all food service on site to a 5* standard. The main duties will include:

• Effective delivery of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, room service and dinner service
• Maintaining stocks and equipment, keeping to wastage and GP targets
• Inducting and training new team members to a high standard#
• Producing rotas and performance managing the team
• Attend and contribute to daily/weekly/monthly team meetings
• Conducting and managing audit checks
• Actively promote and utilise, herbs fruits and vegetables from the hotel kitchen garden
• Providing healthy and varied meals for the whole team (daily)

The client is looking for a driven individual, capable of maintaining and driving the excellent standards already in place. The ideal candidate will have:

• An understanding of 5* / 2AA Rosette (minimum) service delivery as well as the ability to create a fun, motivational work environment
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent
• Valid Visa and/or UK/EU passport
• Availability for the full season
• A general passion for hospitality

The role will most likely require relocation due to the remote location. The position comes with an excellent accommodation package within newly-built high-specification self-contained flats, including Wi-FI and amenities.
