An opportunity for a hungry Business Development Manager to support expansion plans

Client Details

My client is a multimillion turnover business within the health and well being industry providing a range of high quality core and specialised products.



The company is looking for a strong Business Development Manager to grow organically with the business and help them make a market and continue to become industry leaders.



This is a very exciting opportunity to joun a recently re-energised team which will be driving the growth of both the company and the brand.

Description
  • Define and agree with management a clear National Account strategy and an annual budget with priorities
  • Define and agree commercial terms
  • Gain new listings in new accounts
  • Define and oversee effective promotional calendars with new customers
  • Set and monitor KPIs
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and define any remedial actions
  • Liaise internally and externally to ensure successful listings and new product introductions
  • Develop sales forecasts for business planning and budgeting purposes
  • Work closely with account buyers to develop close relationships
  • Identify new opportunities for product and business development






Profile
  • Experience in opening new accounts, and specifically national accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience of setting up and managing Joint Business Plans
  • Ideally a qualification in Nutrition, or alternatively, demonstrable knowledge of vitamins, minerals and health food supplements and the sector in general
  • Microsoft Office - e.g. presentation skills to develop the argument
    • Commercially minded and analytical
    • Minimum 3 years demonstrable successful selling


    • Minimum of 1-2 years National Account selling


    • Degree level preferred but not essential


    • Ideally have a qualification in nutrition


  • Full clean UK driving licence
