CSG are currently retained with a leading manufacturer and supplier of outdoor leisure and sporting products, selling into the Grocery & High Street channel across the UK & Internationally.

The purpose of the National Account Manager is to grow and strengthen the account base globally. There will a strong focus on new business, specifically in Europe to extend product lines overseas. In addition, the role is responsible for identification and development of new business partnerships within the U.K.

Languages, specifically German, will be beneficial to your application.

The Role

Reporting to the National Account Manager, you will be initially tasked with looking for ways to develop new business alongside the Sales Director and the National Account Manager - this will have a strong European focus. You will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts which will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Establish strategic business development plan.
  • Input on new product development.
  • Drive new business and secure new national accounts
  • Develop joint business plans with new and existing retailers.
  • Full responsibility for sales process.
  • Analysis of product performance.
  • Forecasting.

The Business

Currently trading with accounts including: ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's, The Range and B&M, the business is growing 40% YOY. With a reputable product and a gap in the market, this business has been a disruptive entry to UK retail after launching their products in April 2018.

With rapid product development, meticulous in-house design studio, and a vibrant quirky team, the successful candidate will be joining a business that is already on their rise to success.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone wanting to be part of something great. Account experience is essential to understand the process of product to shelf; however, product can be taught.

When you are not out visiting customers, you will ideally be office based in the North West where you are able to work alongside the other areas of the business such as design and marketing. Full training on the industry will be given to the successful candidate.
