Key Account Manager- On trade

CSG are working with one of the U. K's largest independent wholesale drinks businesses who have gone from strength to strength over the last 5 years. Due to the exponential growth the business is now able to add an additional Key Account Manager to the established team, to drive new business within the Cask Ale Category covering the North of England.

The Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be reporting directly into one of the directors in the business where you will also work alongside to joint business plans for your accounts. You will be responsible for developing new business across the independents in the On-trade channel. This will allow you to have the autonomy to shape this part of the business by new business development as well as organically growing the existing accounts.

This is a home-based position with the expectation that you will travel to and from your accounts to maximise their potential. The account base that you will be managing is predominantly in the North of England so ideally you will be based on patch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountability for delivering on targets regarding profit, Turnover and New Business
  • Accountable for driving new business and helping shape the account base in doing so driving sales.
  • Responsibility for managing the accounts on daily basis.
  • Responsible for regular contact with customers to maximise the effectiveness of account penetration to maintain and develop relationships.
  • Negotiate with all existing and prospective customers to ensure the selling price gives the best possible return for the company.


The Candidate

Ideally the successful candidate will have a background in the Drinks market and will have come from a similar position, preferably within Cask ale however other FMCG categories will be considered. Ideally will have the understanding of account management with independent accounts with in the On-trade category. The right candidate must be able to work in an autonomous role with the ability to develop solutions. They will also have a hunter's mentality to business and be able to hold their own in negotiations.
