Job Description:

Business Development Manager – International Travel

I am looking for a Business Development/ Account Manager for a global, blue chip business to be based in Reading. This role will be 55% office based, 35% field based, 15% international travel. You will be working for one of Europe’s fastest growing companies and they have achieved continued growth in sales of 35% every year for the past 20 years. Because of this, there is an excess of opportunity for development and progression.

Salary – Competitive Basic + 20% annual bonus

Hours – Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

The role:

  • Achieve annual sales targets
  • Generate sales leads in the UK and Europe
  • Find new contacts in target client base
  • Sell in product design services
  • Provide weekly sales activity
  • Manage LinkedIn marketing and in mail campaigns
  • Research prospect account information
  • Input data into the companies’ CRM
  • Provide weekly sales activity to management

We’re looking for…

  • 3+ years’ experience selling into food and drinks manufacturers with an established network of potential clients
  • Experience with both new business development and account management
  • Knowledge of the food development process
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude with a sense of urgency
