Category Manager

The role:

As the Category Expert within the company, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the category development globally.
• Developing strategic plans for growth.
• Driving product development with Far Eastern suppliers.
• Sourcing and developing product opportunities to grow the category.
• Working with Sales, Marketing, Design and Technical teams within the business to develop products and marketing plans.
• Providing market knowledge and analysis.
• Training the trainers in teams across the business.
• Building a team to implement global category strategy.
• Overseas travel to suppliers and distributors.
• Attending key customer meetings to promote the category alongside the sales team.
• P&L management of the category in line with the company budgets.
• Overall category sales and margin in line with the company targets.

The person:

The ideal candidate will have category management experience in the nursery/baby products. A strategic thinker, you will be a dynamic individual able to take full responsibility for your category on a global basis with the ability to build and manage a team to work alongside you.
