The Role:

  • Manage International Category Agenda
  • Work with the International commercial teams ensuring that all relevant insight and data is shared to build clear and compelling retailer / brand performance information.
  • Work to build strong retailer relationships Internationally such that Gü becomes a partner of choice and seen as delivering best in class insight to drive category, retailer and brand performance.
  • Be the ‘go to’ person for International market knowledge, focussing on market dynamics, brand and retailer performance.
  • Ensure that become partner of choice for key international retailers – ensuring that can build and present brand and category stories
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to build and execute International activation plans for the Gü Brand to support Innovation and also ongoing brand visibility
  • Work with Marketing Manager to monitor activation performance and highlight what is working well and what needs to be amended for the future to gain most effective use of spend.
  • Monitor brand performance Internationally and work with commercial teams to seize opportunities where appropriate and work through any brand challenges as they arise.
  • Keep abreast of key industry developments and opportunities and borrow from excellence in other categories to apply in activation and share with wider team.
  • Support the development of any country specific shopper marketing programmes, with close alignment with the head of brand. 
  • Support the delivery of the agreed shopper marketing programme on time and within budget.

  • To be empathetic, articulate and measured in arGüment to project their views with different stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Display confidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy, when dealing with difficult situations.
  • To demonstrate strong influencing skills upwards within the organisation and with the commercial team.
  • Must possess excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Able to effectively work in a fast paced working environment and needs to enjoy a challenge and thrive in uncertainty and change.
  • Comfortable making decisions without perfect knowledge or information.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills and possess creative solutions in problem solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable the individual to inform, help and liaise with internal and external contacts effectively at all levels.
  • Good presentation skills, be a confident public speaker.
  • Creative thinking is essential, to be able to come up with new ideas to deliver the brand plan.
  • To have a go-getter attitude, proactive in project work and delivering tasks.
  • Have a genuine interest and passion for food.
