National Account Manager (Central London) – up to £40,000 + OTE + company benefits

Our client is an extremely ambitious, young, snack manufacturing company on a mission to make a difference.  Established a little under 10 years ago they are now one of the fastest growing and most recognisable snack manufacturer brands in the UK now distributing globally.  Based out of their head office in Central London they are seeking a National Account Manager within the Convenience / OOH market.

The role

•Manage the P&L and forecasting of assigned accounts and deliver value, volume and GP% metrics

•Devise & deliver exceptional business plans with key Wholesale customers, ensuring sales of our products are maximised at key trading periods

•Identify new business opportunities in the Wholesale and Foodservice channel outside of your existing customer base and convert leads in to revenue at profit enhancing levels

•Analyse sales performance to understand key drivers behind under or overperformance within the Wholesale and Foodservice channels

•Extend our breadth of product ranges in the Wholesale and Foodservice accounts

•Lead the Trade Show strategy for OOH

•Grow and maintain your network of National Accounts and National Account Managers within Foodservice and Contract Catering

•Maintain a contact matrix for your customers to ensure we are winning new business through our wholesalers and have an effective contact strategy in place at all levels

•Be the expert in the Wholesale & Foodservice channel: understanding routes to market, macro performance, consumer trends, new business opportunities, competitor activity and NPD as well as leading the short and long term strategy internally for the channel

•Manage the OOH Field Sales executive to help you win new business locally within contract caterers, foodservice and wholesale end accounts

•Work with the Category Manager to deliver killer insights that drive significant business benefits

•Work with Supply Chain to build bespoke product, packaging and POS strategies that help us win in OOH

Qualifications

•A great track record of driving sales and profitability while working in FMCG (Grocery or OOH)

•Results driven - you can show examples of strong, tangible business results that you have led personally

•Resilience and tenacity - obstacles don’t hold you back and you work effectively when faced with a tough buyer or tricky negotiation

•Passionate salesperson - you know how to find scalable new business opportunities; are able to thread together and deliver compelling stories; and have the hunger to convert leads in to wins.

•Analytical - you are comfortable with data and numbers and can bring new and relevant insights on your accounts and your channel

•Commercial - you know your way round a P&L and know what levers to pull in order to hit your targets

•Great relationship builder - you are personable and have a collaborative attitude to working with buyers, getting the result we need for the business but in a responsible and natural manner

•Leadership - the more junior members of the sales team are able to look to you for guidance or knowledge and you bring a positive energy to the team

•Effective communicator - you are comfortable presenting internally and externally and are able to get colleagues and customers bought in to your ideas

•Experience of working with key Wholesale customers such as Brakes, Bidfood, Booker, Marigold or key Foodservice customers such as Compass, Baxter Storey, Aramark

•An established OOH network that will help us unlock new business and new relationships would be good
